WHERE IS THE BOOK????
Much to our dismay the publication of Primary Poetry for All has had a few teething problems to say the least but hopefully we are on the final stretch. The final proof was returned this week to the publishers and is now due to go to the final printing stage. We will be announcing official launch dates for the book and hope to follow this with various 'launch sites' throughout the province to promote the book. Any orders will of course be fulfilled as soon as the book becomes available and prior to the official launch and we know that many cannot wait to see their poems finally in print and in the book shelves as well as online...thanks to Cameron McIntyre for his continued support in this venture...AND YOU FOR YOUR PATIENCE...

We would like to thank all the people who have made this a success and a very Happy Christmas to you all...

INSPIRATIONAL SPORTING HEROINE TO ATTEND AWARDS! AKR Promotions is delighted to announce that Dame Mary Peters D.B.E has been confirmed as one of the VIP's who will be present on the day of the The McIntyre Poetry Awards Finals in Parliament Buildings, Stormont on 28th November 2008. 'Mary Peters' is synonymous with the term 'sporting legend' and will present the Sporting Category Award Winners, which is to be judged by The Ulster Sports Trust Committee whom Dame Mary Peters is also the President. Mr Cameron McIntyre commented: 'This is absolutely fantastic news, to have an Olympic Sporting Legend such as Dame Mary Peters present at the Awards is wonderful. I would like to thank both Dame Mary and the Ulster Sports Trust Committee for supporting this event who are giving of their time to judge the poems.' Dame Mary Peters brought home the Gold Medal in the Munich Games of 1972 and was immediately dubbed 'The Golden Girl'. Her committment to sport and its development within Northern Ireland and indeed within the UK is unsurpassed. In 1972 Dame Mary Peters won the coveted 'Sports Personality of the Year Award' voted for by the GB public and has dedicated her life to youth and sport. |
